Casting Locations and directions.

East Kent: East Kent Tournament Casters, Sutton Valence School, Sutton Valence,

nr Maidstone, Kent

Organiser: Mo Hanburger.

Directions: On the M20 travel toward Maidstone and taking exit 8. Follow the signs for Leeds Castle. This will take you straight across a sequence of round-a-bouts and finally to a right turn off a round-a-bout signed posted as the Sutton Vallence turn ( B2163). You will travel past the entrance to Leeds castle continue for about 3 miles to a junction. Take the left turn toward Sutton Valence village ( A274 heading south ), continue just into the village and you will come across the school entrance on your left as a car parking area. Enter the field ( not observable from the field ) via the lane immediately adjacent car park. Travel to the end of this lane and drive onto the field. The field is situated on private property and is owned by the school and as such the grass is kept very short and is well maintained.

Herne Bay: Herne Bay and District Casters, Blacksole Farm, Beltinge, nr Herne Bay, Kent.

Directions. From the Thanet Way cross the first round-a-bout shown on the map ( it crosses the Canterbury road ) and continue on the Thanet Way for about 600-700 yards. On your LEFT you will see across some fields a small railway bridge START TO SLOW DOWN when you see this landmark because you will need to take a turning on your left. This turning will be sign well posted, take this turning which leads across the fields and over the railway bridge that you saw, the casting field is now on your left. The grass is cut prior to the comp. And there is ample parking. The best conditions are generally winds from the SW or from the north.
